A Brief Introduction..
Junior Money Foundation is constructed of a team of students who want to help make a difference in our state's financial literacy education. We are entirely managed and operated by local youth.
As a youth-led team, we break down financial literacy concepts and make them accessible to other youth through in-person workshops, published curriculum, and online textbooks.
We are based in Temple City, California and can't wait to see how our resources can expand your learning!

Welcome to the very beginning of Junior Money Foundation, a project looking to change the standard of financial education through the power of youth. I started this because I noticed a gap in my school's curriculum: the lack of financial education. Upon researching this issue further, I found that this was actually a problem across the entire state, and many other areas struggled with the same core issue -- an absence of opportunity. So, whether your school is unable to fund a class, or your family is unsure of where to start, come to us! Our team is working so hard to set up workshops and get as many free resources published on our website as possible.

A Message From the Founder
Why?
Every year, financial illiteracy affects many adults. California especially ranks as one of the lowest in financial literacy education.
But learning these skills begins young. Through engaging a team of youth to help others learn what it means to handle money, these challenges can be overcome together. Nobody knows how to teach these concepts better than the very ones who need them the most.
Goals
Our goal is to increase young people's understanding of financial literacy through youth leaders in similar communities.
There is hope that the standard for financial literacy can change in our communities one step at a time.
Workshops are our favorite way of reaching students with our content. A completely unique curriculum is designed to fit your classroom.Â

Youth Empowerment
At Junior Money Foundation, we treat financial literacy as a tool that opens the door to self-reliance and personal freedom. By helping youth to understand how they can handle their money, we make navigating the world infinitely easier. Our curriculum and resources are specifically designed with the hope of building the confidence it takes for students to take full control of their economic futures. By teaching the skills needed for financial independence, we are not only preparing for the future, but also setting the standard for the next generation.

Alongside all our other goals, we hope that our resources actually help our students in the real world! We focus on topics that are applicable and skills that can be immediately practiced. Our curriculum focuses entirely on hands-on activities that translate directly to real-life milestones such as opening a bank account or navigating a first-time paycheck. Regardless of the subject, our foundation targets practical knowledge that will help students survive in the real world.
